Our poorly kitchen floor

Here is a photograph of our poorly kitchen floor.
We're still not completely sure what is causing foul smelling liquid to come up in strange places all over our kitchen, we had thought it was a broken drain pipe taking sewage out cos the smell is that bad.
But it might just be the pipes installed to take water to the washing machine (you can see where the pipes were laid because of the cement line going across horizontally just at the beginning of where the tiles were taken up)
Anyway, lets hope we get it properly diagnosed soon, and fixed.

Family photos

Andy came over to visit on Sunday 20th, the last time we saw him was Daisy's first birthday party, it was really really nice to see him.
He is now teaching, yes i said teaching, Andy the teacher, i think he'll be brilliant.

He took these photos of us, perhaps not the normal style family portraits that you usually get, but quite nice all the same.

Young@Heart

I've been a bit obsessed with these guys since i saw the channel 4 documentary early last year, and i couldn't remember the name of the singer who sang 'Fix You' by Coldplay or indeed the name of the singing group.
But now i've found them/him, and i still love it, it's just so so wonderful.

Young@Heart are a New England octogenarian chorus line.

The singer is called Fred Knittle, the story goes that he was supposed to sing it with another member of Young@Heart Bob Salvini, who sadly died of a heart attack shortly before, so Fred sang it alone.

I'm not much of a Coldplay fan, although i think they are absolutely fine, just perhaps a little bit ever so boring, but thumbs up to Chris Martin for writing a song with such moving lyrics.
You might want to grab a tissue before watching this video.

Here is the original, i like Fred's better.

Gordon went fishing and caught himself a big one

Lex decided she liked hanging upside down.
Daisy tried it but wasn't so keen, but quite liked Lex hanging upside down.

Daisy on her scooter

Daisy is getting very good on her new christmas scooter, very good indeed, she wizzes along so fast that i now have to break into a run sometimes to keep up.
She's very good at staying on the pavements and not going near to the kerb, and she gets off and we both walk the scoot across all the roads.

Here she is with her baby "Flossie" in the backpack (from Vicky), all dressed up warm in her wooly outfits (from Nana)

Rare breeds centre in Kent

We spent New Year with Lisa, Run, Floss, Ged, Leah and Evie, down at Run & Lisa's house down in deepest darkest Kent.
On the day after New Years day we went to the Rare Breeds Centre in Kent on the 2nd of January with Lisa and Floss to see lots of animals.
Both Daisy & Iris loved it, Iris does seem to especially love animals, i wonder if she will be a vet when she is older or perhaps work in the zoo.
Sorry, there are a lot of photos here.
