That country air.

That country air seems to have an affect on Iris.

She hasn't slept in the afternoon for months, but since we've moved to the country she's taken to napping in the afternoon if she gets the chance.

Usually it's in the buggy or the car seat like this one.

But sometimes she just can't keep her eyes open any longer and she just has to snooze, either that or it's the beer she keeps drinking.

That darn wig

The girls found Marc's "Gareth" Wig.
It doesn't seem to matter how often they find it and put it on, it is still funny.

Our first visitors

Aaron, Amelia, Pablo & Lola were not our very first visitors, our very first visitors (well i could technically say my very first visitors cos Marc was back in London) so my very first visitors were my mum and sister Vicky who came up for the day, but i couldn't be bothered to find my camera then which was hidden within one of the many boxes which are still here.

Here are some photos from when Aaron and Amelia came to visit.
This is the back of our house with our little shed that we brought with us from Devon London (yes Marc you are quite right). It looks a bit dwarfed in front of that mammoth tin shed.

That is Aaron talking to his eldest child Pablo who is a bit younger than Iris.
This is Amelia with baby Lola who is about 4 months old.
This is baby Lola telling me with her eyes that she's going to be a little bit sick on me later on when i hold her.
I am not sure why i have framed this shot at such a funny angle but i prefer it to the one below.

This is Aaron shutting the door on Daisy and Pablo who seemed to quite like it.

Potty Training

Oh Iris is now potty trained, horay.
We still have a few accidents now and then, but mostly she is really good about it all.

That place where the girls were born

This is our old lounge, look at that lovely green on the walls.
In fact take a moment to remember our lovely old house that was virtually finished and smart and clean and just lovely.

This is Daisy and Iris looking rather confused at being instructed to sit in very specific places on the dining room floor, and being told to keep still when all they really wanted to do was run around in the empty house.

In this photo taken from above it is a little clearer, the girls are sitting in the exact positions of where they were born, this is where they were pushed into this world, into a birthing pool.
We thought we had better document this little fact as we leave our house behind.

I just thought i'd mention that the pool didn't stay up for the two years in between Daisy and Iris' birth, the water would have gotten cold by then.
No we had to give the first wooden one back, the second one was just a blow up one that we bought for £50 and is somewhere in a box in our new house.

Lots of things are somewhere in a box in our new house, like my ipod, hmmmm....

Hello... Is there anybody [out] there?

Oh my goodness gracious me, we are officially back online, hooray.
Our internet service provider finally came good and provided us with lovely scrummy broadband, and Marc being clever made it happen.
Horay for broadband and horay for husbands, who are very clever.

Oh and yes the blog post title should obviously read "Is there anybody in there" to quote the lyrics correctly, but obviously you, who i am referring to are not in this house with me, you are all outside of this house, somewhere else, out in the big wide world.

The title comes from the album "Another Brick in the Wall" by Pink Floyd, that big band from long ago, and i have quoted it cos my sister Polly is one of the backing singers for a Pink Floyd tribute band called "In the Flesh" here is their website : www.floydflesh.com/.

I believe they are very good, though i've not heard them yet. I'm hoping they'll come play in our village hall soon, though i think slightly bigger venues are usually booked nowadays.

Anyway it's jolly nice to be back online.
