Daisy was lying in bed with us this morning when on the radio we heard that Prince Harry is to have equality training because of his racist remarks against an army colleague that were recorded on video.
www.bbc.co.uk - Harry
On hearing the name Prince Harry, Daisy told us that Prince Harry was actually her teacher, Amy's dad.
I asked her how she knew this and she said Amy had told the whole class.
Now that is some imagination.

The things they say - grizzling
I just asked Iris to stop grizzling as she was coming up the stairs, it's kind of understandable cos her ears are all gammy and she might have an ear ache or a headache or any number of ailments that she can't explain, but still the words "stop grizzling" popped out of my mouth.
She said quick as anything "i'm not grizzing, i'm just crying"
Which makes me wonder what is the worst grizzling or crying?

The things they say - storytime
I feel a new series coming into fruition, obviously it cannot replace the "Hackney streets" series, but perhaps it can ease the way into the new (fingers crossed) "Evercreech - currently undecided series"
It was bed time, story time and Daddy was doing the reading.
It was Iris' turn for a story, cos Daisy had had her 'Folk of the Faraway Tree' fix already.
Iris turned to me when i suggested Daddy could read her chosen story, and said "No, Daddy can't read it, he hasn't got boobies!"

Funny little things they say
Daddy and Daisy were having a bit of a to do about Daisy getting dressed this morning.
He asked her a few times to put her tights on but she was prancing and dancing around and generally being a normal(ish) distracted 3 and a half year old.
In the end he said, "Daisy put your tights on or i'll put them on"
She replied with "but they won't fit you"
I kid you not.
I was really trying not to laugh too hard in the other room.
Oh and this morning we were on our walk around Hackney Marshes, and we had passed the playground on the way out and she had been very good about passing it and not going in.
Daisy "Can i go to the playground still?"
Me "Yes, we'll go past the playground on the way home"
Daisy "I don't want to go past the playground, i want to go in the playground"
I had to laugh again.
