My first portrait of my chicken

Here is my first portrait of my chicken, i absolutely did it all myself, mummy didn't help me at all.
Whilst i was doing it, i was talking about drawing his beak, and his hair so mummy knew i was trying to draw chicken, and both mummy and daddy were gob smacked that it actually looked like my chicken.

Playing with Ben & Jake

Here i am around at Ben's house eating ice cream and sitting on Ben's trampoline, we had quite a lot of fun that day, although quite a few arguments did take place over who was playing with which of Ben's toys at any particular time.

But mostly fun was had.

My little red chinese dress

Here i am in my little red chinese dress that a friend of Auntie Vicky's bought for me, Tracey brought it back from abroad ages ago but it didn't fit me then.

Now it fits me as you can see, and i quite like it.

Colds all round

I have a cold, i keep sneezing, and I am also dribbling even more milk out the side of my mouth when i feed than i usually do.
Boo hoo.

Something is missing

I'm sure something is missing at home but i can't quite put my finger on it.
Hmmmm, i shall investigate further around the house and keep my eye on mummy and daddy.

Otto & Liberty left with more stuff than they arrived with on Sunday, so maybe they took some of my toys, i'll go and check they are all there.

...

Nope they all seem to be there.

Bye bye Gussy the cat.

It was sort of a sad day yesterday, well no tears were shed but it was still sort of a sad day. Gus the cat has gone on a (hopefully rather long) holiday with Ben & Kate & Otto & Liberty. He's sort of on a months trial in case he hates it, but hopefully he'll love it and they will keep him.

Whilst we have loved Gus as our first born child in the eight years we'd had him we had slowly grown apart and it was time to part company in the nicest way possible.

For me the problem was his constant need to sleep on clean washing, beds, cushions, in babies bouncy chair, in cot, bed, buggy, pram, car seat in fact anywhere he could find that wasn't his own wicker basket.
For Marc it was his yowling for food when he already had a bowl full of biscuits. (i think we had spoilt him when he was our one and only son)

We aquired Gus from Caroline and Richard on the 10th May 1998, apparently he was only a kitten, but i'm not so sure cos he seemed quite big from what i remember. Caroline and Richard at the time had lots of cats, maybe 8/9/10 in a one bed flat, so i think Gus was quite relieved to leave the cat house and come to our quiet little flat.

He has been spoilt rotten in the past, we even built him steps in the wall up to our first floor flat which he took too very quickly. Imagine his delight when we moved to a house with a garden, he must have been in his element.
But then Daisy came along and the attention moved from Gus to the little baby, and now little Iris has come along, poor Gus wasn't getting any kind of look in, he was just fed and left, hardly a stroke touched his back from day to day.

So the guilt finally made us do the right thing and find him a better home, a home that would love him like we used to. And that home is Ben & Kate's home, and i know that Otto (5 in Oct) and Liberty (3 in Jan) will give him lots and lots of much needed love & attention.

Bye bye Gus, you will be missed, (perhaps not immediately cos to be honest i'm just relieved that i don't have to worry about you sleeping on the clean washing and making Daisy's ezcema flare up, or even sleeping on baby Iris), but you will definately be missed.

Daisy doesn't really seem to have noticed that he's gone, fingers crossed it stays like that.

Mummy cowering in the corner

Eek, mummy had better get that dictionary out, and take some lessons in grammar and all that jazz.

I'm a bit poorly today.

Daisy has a cold
and a husky voice
and maybe a headache

She woke up in the night and was all bunged up and her voice was all husky and she was crying and crying.

She is very tired today so she's taken herself off to bed.

Iris's Photoshoot

Today, baby sister had a photoshoot here at home, there were lights and everything.

Rita came round and took some fabulous photographs of Iris, and Iris was mostly quite happy to be photographed but got a bit bored by the end of it.

Iris did a few shots without her nappy on and she did what she loves doing best, weeing as soon as her nappy is off, she wee'd all over the towel.

Here are a few of the photo's.

Mummy says that lots will go up on a website where they can be printed, email her for the link.

Cards & Presents

Daisy is in bed now, so I (mummy) am adding a little entry whilst i get the chance.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has sent cards and presents, there are too many to mention and i've tried to thank everyone but if i haven't thanked you and your reading this then i'm sorry, i thank you now, they are all lovely.
Oh i know someone i haven't thanked, and that's Dotty Dee, thank you for the lavender, it is right by my pillow and i'm hoping it is helping me sleep when i do get the chance to sleep.

Here is a photograph of a present from Sarah, cos she ordered it online from New Zealand and she hasn't seen it yet, it is an outfit for Daisy and a basket of stuff for Iris: a blanket with satin edging, a teddy, three vests and a babygrow.
It's lovely.

Little Iris on a big bed.

Here is little Iris on mummy and daddy's big bed.

Roni & Ruby

Here is a photograph of the lovely Roni & Ruby who looked after me when mummy went into labour.
This photograph was taken on Tuesday 22nd August which was actually the day that mummies labour started, but she tells me it all stopped a few times so it ended up being really long.
Anyway i was very well looked after but these two lovely girls and by their lovely mummy Ged.

hmmm, i spoke too soon

Last night my baby sister Iris was awake for quite a lot of the night, she woke up at 12pm and stayed awake until about 2.30am and then woke up again at 5am and stayed awake for quite a while again. Mummy ended up sleeping with her in the office to try to keep her asleep which sort of worked but then mummy ends up not getting much sleep.

Naughty Iris, but then i guess she can't help it cos she's only two weeks old.

Iris sleeps for 6 hours

"Not last night but the night before, twenty four robbers came knocking at my door".
mummy says, she used to sing that at school in the playground, did anyone else or was it just mummy all on her own.

I remember the song now, it's a skipping song.

Not last night but the night before my baby sister Iris, slept from about 9pm until 2.45am, mummy didn't know what to do with herself after having that much sleep.

Then last night she woke up only twice which seems to be her routine but there wasn't a six hour gap.

I'm obviously completely oblivious to the whole thing, i'm fast asleep in my big girl bed down the hall.

Yes Iris does have eyes.

Here is proof that baby Iris does have eyes, i know it appears that she doesn't have eyes, cos they are always shut, but here they are open.
Not for long though.

Drawing on my face

Daddy drew on my face, with the help of Auntie Vicky.

Do i look pretty?
