Town mice visit the country mice.

We went to visit Run & Lisa out in Kent and they sure have picked a lovely spot, it is really rather nice.
Their garden is terribly grown up, it's a bloomin' good job Run is a keen gardner cos there is a lot of gardening to be done, as you can see it looks a bit like our local Springfield Park.

Their new house is very very sweet, they are in the middle of doing it up, tearing down wood panelling from the walls, getting their old kitchen fitted into their new house and more, they don't do things by half. (i didn't manage to get a good pic of their house)

The next day we went to Camber Sands which is only 25 mins away it was a lovely beach, soft off-white sand, sand dunes (reminded me of our family holidays in Cornwall) nice and sunny with a bit of wind thrown in as well.

Here is a montage of photographs of us at the beach, not too sure why it's so jerky.

Countryside this way

Bye bye Run, Lisa & Flossie
It is a sad day because Lisa and Run and Flossie have left London to go and live in the garden of England otherwise known as Kent.
They moved out to the countryside a short while ago to have a fabulous new life in their beautiful new home in the middle of nowhere.

Iris poorly again

In a nutshell
she has a cough and cold again, she was breathing quite heavily for her nap, so i phoned the docs and he said to come down to the surgery at 6pm, and he then sent me up to A&E, and Marc met us up there.
The docs at the hospital thought that she was struggling and so they gave her Salbutamol inhaler (which she obviously hated) and then they made us stay in all night again, oh joy, another night on an uncomfortable bed in a noisy ward.

Personally i think she was fine, she was struggling a little bit with her breathing but not that much, she is just chesty cos she's got a cough, but obvioulsy i had to go along with it, i'd have looked like a very bad mother refusing to stay and going home.

In the middle of the night they decided to put an oxygen mask in the cot with her so that it pumped out oxygen in her general direction, but again i couldn't tell any difference in her breathing, but then i guess I haven't gone through 5+ years of medical training.

She is now on a routine of inhaler every 4/6 hours for four days which she is getting used to.
poor sausage.

Iris Bum Shuffling

Here is a lovely pic of Iris giving me a kiss but getting all excited and squealing instead.

Here is a pic of Iris' red shiny shoes which she is particularly partial too. Caroline gave them to Daisy at christmas 2005 and they are still going strong.

Here are two video's to show that Iris does indeed shuffle around on her bottom.
Far too ladylike to crawl.

When you gotta snooze, you gotta snooze

We were about to drive to Camberwell to go see my old NCT group from being pregnant with Daisy, they have all but me and Shonagh, moved to South London or out of London, charming.
So i really wanted Iris to stay awake until we went in the car, in the hope that she might sleep in the car and make the journey less painfull.
Her eyes were drooping in-between the mouthfuls of food i was shoveling into her, and Daisy was under strict instructions to make as much noise as she possibly could to keep her awake, but alas she eventually fell asleep in her highchair.

I did however successfully manage to transfer her from highchair to carseat with minimal pain and the journey was relatively painless.

Shonagh drove in her newish bigger and better Toyota Corolla which has two extra seats in the boot.

Dressing up

We went to art club today and there happens to be a dressing up box there as well with some really good dressing up outfits.
Iris opted for a giraffe hat and Daisy opted for a police/fire lady outfit.
Daisy did actually do three paintings as well, but we left them there by accident.

Iris with spotty pants

Here are a couple of photographs of Iris, taken not long ago whilst the sun was still out.
Iris loves fabrics, she especially loves stretchy cotton material like t-shirts, leggins and especially Daisy's pants.
Here she is rifling through my bag and finding Daisy's spare (clean i add) pants, and then having a good old snuggle with them.
(they were clean!)

Patting the ponies (part 2)

Here are photographs taken with Daisy's camera, most of the photos are taken by either Daisy or Lex and a couple by me.

Patting the ponies (part 1)

We met up with Lucy and Lex out at the Lee Valley Riding Centre this morning so that the girls could pat some ponies.

Here are my photos of them arriving and patting Chestnut, Lex's favourite horse, then my camera battery died.
(Daisy photo's to follow this post)

Play-dough ingredients

for anyone wanting to make it yourself.

3 cups flour
1.5 cups salt
6 tsp cream of tarter (not tartar sauce!!)
3 tbsp oil
3 cups water
food colouring / flavouring (this is for smell rather than taste - don't eat it!) / glitter (all optional)

Pour all ingredients into a large pot. Stir constantly over medium heat until a ball forms by pulling away from the sides. Knead the playdough until the texture matches playdough (1-2 minutes).

I haven't made any yet but i might let Daisy help me make it soon.

A walk with Run and Lisa

Run and Lisa are running of to Kent.
They are leaving us, all alone, in London.

Here are a few photographs from Sunday, we went out to Chingford for a walk and we had a little look around the Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge which was very interesting.

Lost - Series 3

We (Marc and me) have just finished watching the entire series 3 of 'Lost' which my sister Vicky very kindly lent me, we watched it within five days, four episodes a night on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday and then we just couldn't help ourselves and watched the last seven episodes on Friday.

I am now so obsessed with Lost that i cannot stop thinking about that bloody island:
Who was on the other end of the satallelite phone?
Has Juliet really become a beach bum?
Has the little hobbit really died? (big shame but thank god it wasn't Desmond he's considerably cuter)
Why would Kate prefer Jack to Sawyer, i mean Jack is handsome and all that and he's a doctor, but Sawyer is much better value for money.
Who's funeral was it that Jack went to in his flash forward?

So when does series 4 come out and put me out of my misery?
