We made the Masie Clock

Was it you Vicky that gave Daisy that Masie jigsaw Clock?
If so, we have now made it, and Daisy had a lot of fun squeezing the glue all over the jigsaw puzzle, clock face.
Actually it was made at the weekend which was actually when these photographs were taken.

Now beware, there are some strange photographs in this little batch below which include Daisy doing rather odd acrobatics on my shoulders and the girls flashing their bottoms.

The new playground

The new playground is quite good fun, if the weather is nice, we can walk past it on our way home from school which is very handy for letting off a bit of extra energy.
Daisy, as you can see, is getting pretty agile on monkey bars and the like.
Look at those dirty knees.

A little spot of dressing up

These girls are sometimes too funny for words.

Dodgy bouncer

Daisy had a late birthday present from Auntie Em (you've been renamed Auntie Em because most of the time Daisy is playing the part of Dorothy and Iris is playing the part of Toto)

This present has resulted in much fun and bouncing being done by Daisy in the garden.

Iris is not in the slightest bit interested in having a go, i think she knows she will fall off straight away and hurt herself.
Iris can be quite sensible, if sometimes a little over cautious.

Dodgy texter

Anyone received any dodgy texts from me recently?

The play house.

Here are photographs of the new playhouse.
This one was taken from our fire escape.
It's very sweet, until you bash your head on a corner somewhere then it hurts quite a lot and it is no longer sweet.
There are stairs inside, it's very posh.
New table and chairs with some kind of tea party going on.
It came from Waltons, it does seem to be very well made, BUT, i wouldn't recommend them at all on delivery, refunds, customer service etc... but more on that later, once they remember to deliver the plastic windows so that my girls don't fall out.

Daisy with red umbrella

Here are some shots of Daisy with her red umbrella, sitting in the garden, wearing her new hand knitted jumper from Nana (Iris has a matching one)
Hey this umbrella is now vintage, cos it's from the shop that is no more - 'Woolworths'.
Might be worth a bog or two in a couple of years.

Iris in klippy kloppy's

Iris is rather partial to these pink klippy kloppy shoes, as is Daisy too though they are getting rather small for Daisy.
I tolerate them by insisting they stay in the house and under no circumstance do they remain on Iris' feet whilst we pick up Daisy from school, could you imagine how common that would look?

Here is Iris admiring her feet in the klippy kloppy shoes.

Here is a close up of those tiny little toes in those pink plastic shoes.

And here is just another pic of her, just for luck.

Daisy's 5th birthday party

Yes yes yes, sorry about the delay, in posting these photographs below.
The countryside seems to have had an effect on me, in that i now seem to avoid technology.
* I don't let the girls watch tv/dvd's/videos anywhere near as much as they used to. It is now maybe one film a week on Fri night or weekend.
* I don't go on my computer as much as i used to, which is no bad thing, i wasted so much time reading interesting (but not essential) blogs of an evening.
* I don't get my camera out as much as i used to, and this one needs to change.

Which brings me round nicely to Daisy's birthday party photographs of which there aren't that many, but hey at least there are some.
It is jolly hard to remember to actually take photographs whilst trying to amuse 24/30 young children.

Here is Daisy getting herself into the mood before anyone turned up, she was dancing away enjoying herself to whatever Marc put on.

The birthday party was hectic, but very good, and actually worked out very well.
I was worried before the party that i hadn't planned enough and that they would be very bored, especially when Marc said "but i thought you'd done a pass the parcel".

Essentially, I decided against it because not everyone rsvp'd and i wouldn't know how many children were coming and therefore how many layers with lollies etc... to have around the parcel.
Also i figured if all 24 children from her class, plus a few siblings and friends came along, one pass the parcel would take a long time to get around 24+ children and they would be bored, and i've tried two pass the parcels going around at the same time and that gets really complicated.

So i opted for musical statues and musical bumps which seemed to go down a treat.

We had plenty of food, sandwiches (ham or cheese) biscuits, crisps, cucumber sticks, carrot sticks, bread sticks, humus & sausages.
We also had lashings and lashings of ginger beer apple juice.
Here they all are sitting and eating very quietly.

and here is Daisy blowing out her 5 candles on her pink cake.
Janet (Jasper's mum) kindly took this pic of me holding the cake.

We actually had tons of cakes, 36 little pink iced fairy cakes for the children and one lovely big pink iced Victoria Sponge for the parents.
Yummmm...

Daisy's 5th Birthday

Just a quick post about Daisy's 5th birthday, i will write more when i find some time.
Daisy seemed to have a lovely day yesterday on her birthday.
She opened quite a few presents in the morning and then wanted to take them in to school with her, we allowed her to take just one which was a small white cat from the aristocats who i believe is called Dutchess.
She also took a big chocolate cake in to school for all her school friends to eat together.

Thank you for all the presents, she is very spoilt and is currently expecting new presents every day, i remember she was a bit like this last year, i wonder how long this expectation will go on for.

Anyway i will take lots of photographs at the party tomorrow and post them up.
