Sam and Andy live in Pylle which is near Pilton and they get free tickets to the festival.
On Sunday at about 12.30 she called me to say did we want to come in with them this afternoon, because some of their neighbours had decided they had had enough by then, so we naturally jumped at the chance.
We had a fab time.
Here are some photographs.
(haven't got time to put them all in order)

We made it into the festival
Saturday, June 27, 2009
it's louder tonight
If i stick my head out of our kitchen window, which happens to be at the very top of our house on the side nearest to Pilton, then we can hear festival festivities even louder tonight, i can actually make out a beat amongst the general humm that is bouncing over the hill.
woo hoo.
I feel like i'm nearly there.
I should go and cover myself in mud and grass stains and bang myself on the head for 10 mins to give myself that festival feeling of a fuzzy head from having music blasted at you from all directions 24 hours a day.
I'd still love to be there mind you.
That sign above is at Pylle.

Glastonbury, i mean Pilton Festival
I have learned that if your from round these parts, then it's called Pilton Festival.
If i stick my head out of the kitchen window, i can hear the festival happening in the distance.
It's gutting not to be in there really, maybe next year.
On Wednesday (when most of the festival go'ers arrived) I was told by a woman with a very strong Somerset accent, who wound down her window and stopped her car, as she passed me walking to pick up Daisy from school that it was "Gridlock in Frome".
This made me (and Sarah) laugh lots.
We laughed and laughed at this.
Partly cos of the accent and the fact that she stopped her car to tell us, even though we were walking and nowhere near Frome, but also because having lived in London for 17 years, i bet the Frome gridlock is nothing like a London gridlock.
I am enjoying all the village ker-fuffle about Glastonbury Pilton Festival though.

Sleeping
Here is a pic of Iris, who given half the chance will fall asleep in the car if the opportunity is presented to her at the right time.

Camping in our garden.
This weekend just gone, we had 4 families come and visit us.
3 families camped in our garden.
It was a lot of fun.
We had lovely weather, we couldn't have asked for better weather really, we ate lots of yummy bbq, we drank quite a bit of booze and we just had a fabulous time at our mini festival.
The only pain, was going up and down the stairs from our kitchen right at the top of our house, back down to the garden.
I tell you my thighs are aching, i surely must have burnt off more calories on my stairs than a whole weekend workout.
Anyway, here are a few photographs:
Here is Daisy in total awe at the big trendy girls from London, Roni(9) and Ruby(7)
Here is almost everyone, i think only Run and Rachel are missing.

The croc in our garden
The folks who sold us our house, left us a load of inflatables for our children to use, their children are now grown up so probably have no use for such things.
Daisy and Iris love them.
We have two of these boats, which are dragged around the garden quite a bit.
We also have a few huge rubber rings which are very popular.
And this crocodile is the most popular of all, both girls love it.

Lost season 5
My sister Vicky kept me up to date with Lost Season 4 courtesy of somebody recording them for me off Sky and good old Royal Mail going up and down from her to me and back and again, but she couldn't do that for Season 5, due to technical problems or summit, so i bought them off a man and now i have them waiting for me to watch.
Trouble is, i haven't found the time to watch them yet, but it is nice looking at the DVD box set thingy knowing that i can watch them soon.
I wonder when i will actually get around to watching them.
Wiki entry all about Lost http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_(TV_series)
Wow having just looked at the Wiki entry, if you scroll down you can see a Jack Doll!

Two Devons in one month.
We have been down to Devon twice recently.
We went first when Daisy was on her half term which was a short sweet little break, Daisy and Iris slept in the same single bed which caused lots of giggling and not much sleeping on the first night, and a little less giggling and little bit more sleeping on the second night.
Then Nana and Tilly came back with us up to Somerset for the weekend and we took Nana and Tilly on a walk across the fields.
Then Daisy had to stay with Daddy, whilst Iris and me took Nana and Tilly back down to Devon because i had some work.
I will post lots of pics up next week, of all our adventures.
To start with one of these work type things was shooting a little boy called Noah, who is Hailey's son.
Here are a few shots of him.

Auntie Polly the pop star
As i said before (in this post) Auntie Polly is in a Pink Floyd tribute band called "In the Flesh" here is their website : www.floydflesh.com and during my recent trip to Devon for work (more on this later) i took a couple of photographs of her for the program.
I'm quite pleased with them really.
Of course to get those two shots above, i actually took 70 shots of her whilst she was singing, trouble was i kept getting her mid facial expression, either her mouth looked weird or her eyes looked weird or her arm looked weird, i had to time it just right so that her face looked just right.
